Carri Rubinstein


With experience in running all day-to-day aspects of running a not for profit organization Carri brings critical expertise in the areas of charitable organization, financial management and event planning.

      Deborah Ziering

      Vice President

      Debby, together with Carri helps run the day to day logistics of  Thru My Eyes.  She received her B.A at Queens College and her M.A in Speech-Language Pathology at New York University. Debby is a board member of the Isaac Ziering Foundation.

          Michelle P. Maidenberg Ph.D., MPH, LCSW-R, CGP

          Clinical Co-Director

          Michelle brought her clinical expertise to Thru My Eyes by helping to initially recruit and train volunteer mental health professionals. She assisted in creating the clinical standards as well as the assessment and evaluation forms for the organization. She does some of the interviewing as well. Michelle is the Clinical Director of Westchester Group Works, runs the CBT Program at Camp Shane & Shane Diet and Fitness Resorts, is on the adjunct faculty at NYU in their MSW Program and maintains a private practice where she sees individuals, families, couples and groups in Harrison, NY.

              Lindsey Sichel


              Lindsey is also a Vice President in Portfolio Risk and Product Development at Optima Fund management, a multi-billion dollar alternative investment fund. She received her B.A. from Cornell University. Additional associations include the Susan G. Komen for the Cure for the Vermont/ New Hampshire affiliate.

                  Evie Shvetz


                  Evie brings her strong business background in running a company for the last 20 years to Thru My Eyes. She is a 20 year Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor. She knows the long hard road that people face when trying to fight a life-threatening illness. 

                      Aaron Rubinstein


                      Aaron is a partner at the  law firm of Kaye Scholer LLP, at which he was the Chairman of the Litigation Department and is currently the Chairman of the Financial Services Litigation Group.  He handles all of the legal issues in running a not for profit organization.
